Dear Daily wage earner,

Reminders of your absence are everywhere.
In the stains, the creases, the untended yards. In the dried up soil, the dust, the grime…

Times are tough so we are tending to these the best we can. But you are missed.
For years you have saved us from menial jobs. Today we learn that there are no menial jobs, only menial attitudes.

Times are tough but we know they are tougher for you.
So just want to let you know that your job is safe whenever you can come back. Just want to let you know that for all the days you wanted to but couldn’t, we have saved your daily wages. It is rightfully yours.

For all the days we tended to the “menial”, you taught us to value your person, and your job.

Thank you.
